Introduction: Iskcon temple or popularly known as Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi Mandir is devoted to the lord shri Radha Krishna. Located at Hare Krishna Hills in the East of Kailash area of New Delhi. The temple houses the idols of Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi, Sita Rama Laxman Hanuman, Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, and lord narsimha. As far as architecture is concerned, “Shikharas” are standing at height of 90 meters. The walls of the temple have been decorated with the works of Russian artists. Twenty four priests are appointed to carry out essential prayers and services of the dieties. Daily six aartis offered to the deities, namely Mangala Aarti, Darshan Aarti, Raj Bhog Aarti, Usthapana Aarti, Sandhya Aarti, and Shyana Aarti. In the aarti, one can see the devotees dancing and waving their arms up in the air and enchanting the holy mantra “Hare Rama Hare Krishna”. Temple also has a museum which displays ideology of ISKCON with Lifesize robot of swami prabhupada with his disciples along with krishna and arjun in the background.
History: In the year 1998, it was Sri Ram Navami when this temple was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. ISKCON Temple in Delhi was completely built in the year 1998. Designer of this master piece was Achyut Kanvinde. The Garden constructed within the temple is the small apercu of ‘Vrindavan’ or the ‘Garden of Lord Krishna’.
