Introduction: One of the beautiful shrines in delhi located near Jawahar lal Nehru stadium and exactly in front of the Dayal singh college, Lodhi road you can see a beautiful white temple dedicated to sai baba. Shri Sai Baba in particular, the spirit of universal brotherhood or religious toleration as in Sai Bhakti, high principles of conduct and character without distinction of caste, creed and religion. Sai baba mandir, dedicated to Sai Baba of shirdi. The temple is packed with devotees on Thursday evenings for the special puja. One can see the idol of Sai Baba from the road. History: Shirdi Sai Baba tried a lot to bring unity and peace between the Hindu and Muslim religion. He used to say always “Sabka malik ek”. On August 1972, the foundation stone was laid and M/s Pardhan Ghosh & Associates was appointed as the supervisor of the construction. Finally after many Havans and Pujas on 30th September 1976 the temple was opened to the public. Lodhi road area was Built in 1940s, to house government employees, with bungalows for senior officials in the nearby Lodhi Estate area. It was the last residential areas built by the British Raj. It was excellent living area, and the last attribute ‘Quietest’, makes this Colony an outstanding place for the children and students.
