Introduction: The Sheetla Devi Temple is an ancient and sacred temple that lies very close to Sohna in Gurgaon Village, which is a excellent of Gurgaon in the state of Haryana. The temple is dedicated to Mata Sheetla Devi and stands near a small pond which is also known as one of the earliest ‘Shakti Peeth’ and hence is considered very sacred amongst the Hindu devotee. The Sheetla devi temple is an important place for perfoming the ‘mundan’ ceremony and the temple provide special facilicities for this ritual.

 

HistoryThe history of sheetla devi mandir goes back to at least 5,000 years or more. The  Sheetla Devi Mandir was built some three centuries ago and has many versions attached to its existence.
