Introduction: Just in front of Old Delhi railway station or known as Delhi Junction a mosque is standing on a raised platform. Named as Hamid Ali mosque but locally known as Shia Masjid. Exactly this mosque is located on Hamilton road. Shia masjid is not built on the dot like other Delhi mosques ( Jama masjid, Fatehpuri masjid, Ghata masjid, e.t.c). It used to be a big mosque but today only a single hall can be seen inside with an unaccompanied small courtyard. Small tank is there on the eastern corner of the mosque. No one can easily find this mosque not even google as very few have written about this hidden gem. The mosque was completely constructed in between 1840 to 1842.
